On the evening of the early release of ‘Magic,’ the first part of The Taste of a smile, I’d like to share something with you about the funding of The Lesbian Romantic. I just published an updated version of the payment page.

Transparency

From now on, you will be able to see how much of the podcast is actually funded. I decided it was time to be transparent about this. You see, for the last 3 years, I covered most of the costs to create The Lesbian Romantic with my own funds.

I cannot keep doing that for much longer. That means I might have to invest some time in other activities, like consultancy, to pay the bills. This would have an impact on the time I can dedicate to producing The Lesbian Romantic. The new ‘Contribute’ page now reflects that reality.

One Percent

You might already know I have chosen to not set up a Patreon account. I share perks and extras with you without requiring a monthly payment. Unfortunately, that means the number of people supporting the podcast remains low. Only about 1% of listeners contribute.

This podcast, its listeners and its community mean the world to me. I will keep working to make people smile and hope, and to build a community that connects them through the shared experience of story.
