The Diva Story Early Access: Part 43 Script Excerpt

O hai!

I can’t believe this will be the last time I post a script excerpt from Hannah’s point of view! Better make it a nice one…

Have a great day!

Sigrid

Hannah’s heart stopped as soon as she saw Milly standing in the doorway. A sharp twinge of panic in her chest made her whole body tense up.

Milly was back in New York City! She was here to see Christine. But she had not been in touch with Hannah. That had to be a bad sign.

Judging by the bewildered look on Milly’s face, she was stunned to see Hannah too. Worse: she didn’t seem happy about it. Her expression only revealed shock.

“Come in, Milly,” Christine said. “Don’t just stand there!”

Hannah stumbled back. She crossed her arms and stared at the floor, desperately trying to figure out what to do.

“Hi,” Milly said, but Hannah didn’t know to whom.

“This is a surprise,” Christine said.

“Yeah, it sure is,” Milly replied.

“I didn’t forget an appointment, did I?” Christine asked.

“No, sorry, I just…”

Hannah could feel Milly’s gaze on her. She chewed on the inside of her cheek and pretended to study the Persian rug on the floor.

“I guess I’ll go make some tea,” Christine said.

Hannah knew she would have to look up and face Milly in a few seconds. She knew she would have to confront her and demand an answer from her one way or another.

The door of the kitchen closed behind Christine. Hannah tucked her hands into her pockets. She felt cold. Her stomach hurt.

Milly’s steps sounded so much louder than they should have. They echoed in Hannah’s ears even though Milly was already standing right in front of her. Hannah caught a whiff of her sweet perfume. She felt weak in the legs.

She did finally look up, though. Hannah saw Milly’s hand move, but the soft fingers brushing over her skin still sent a jolt of surprise through her body. Milly stroked her cheek tenderly. Hannah’s lips parted.

There was so much she wanted to say or ask, but she couldn’t bring herself to speak. She didn’t want to do anything to ruin this moment. Milly was searching for her eyes, her expression apologetic.

When Hannah met her gaze, Milly cupped the back of her head lightly. Her eyes fluttered shut. She leaned in and pressed her lips against Hannah’s. Milly’s lips were soft and full.

Hannah pulled back, not ready to lose herself in Milly again. Not without some answers first.

“I am so sorry,” Milly whispered, her forehead resting against Hannah’s. “Please forgive me.”

“For what?” Hannah croaked.

“For being an idiot.”

Hannah’s heartbeat was drumming in her ears.

Milly smiled sadly. “I don’t even know what to say…”

Hannah clenched her fists.

“I don’t want to lose you,” Milly said quietly.

“So…so…,” Hannah stammered, unsure how to ask her next question.

“So I won’t hide anymore. I no longer care what people say.”

Hannah nodded slowly while she thought. She looked for Milly’s hands. Their fingers entwined.

“I missed you so much,” Hannah admitted with difficulty.

“I missed you too,” Milly said, the tip of her nose softly touching Hannah’s.

“Please never do that again.”

“I won’t. I promise.”

Hannah took in a deep breath of relief. She wrapped her arms around Milly and pulled her close. Without thinking, she started nuzzling Milly’s neck, placing tender kisses everywhere. Milly let out a deep sigh, running her hands up and down Hannah’s back.

The heat and desire came like a wave, engulfing Hannah’s whole body in a single second. She was suddenly extremely aware of every spot where Milly’s body touched hers. The slightest friction made her blood buzz with anticipation.

“I see you two talked,” Christine said, surprising them both.

Not my fault Christine walks back in! See you Saturday! 😉

I see…I didn’t read your intro well enough…the final episode from Hannah’s point of view. Just ‘final episode’ stuck with me. And I’m out of whack being away this week. Anyway….

Well, I’m actually glad Christine came back when she did. Otherwise I could have been a bit embarassing and awkvard.

I am sad there is only one episode left after this one. I found this podcast and binged on it for about a week. I listened to both stories and I am now caught up and slightly depressed about it. I told my wife I wasn’t sure what I as going to do during the 4-5 week break. Sigrid, I am going to have to buy you a case coffee and all other beverages. I love this podcast and can not wait to hear the end of this story and see what’s next.
