Starting research for next story

Hello hello,

I’ve been working for my ‘money job’ today, and I already missed working on the podcast, so I decided to stop by here. On my way to the train station, I thought about the opening scene of the next episode, and I definitely have some ideas I want to explore. I hope I will be able to play around with them for a bit this weekend.

Long term, I’m thinking about what comes after The Blogger Story. I mentioned it on Twitter a couple of times: I’m considering a story in the opera world. I know that might sound boring for a lot of people, but I promise you…it’s not ^^

Did you know there are many ‘trouser roles’ in opera? Women play men quite frequently and so there are plenty of operas with two women having to play/sing love scenes. I think this definitely has potential for a story! ^^

I also greatly admired Mellisa Brayden’s book First position in a ballet setting. It’s so much easier to write a story in a more popular setting. I have to admit I’m a bit scared people won’t want to listen as soon as they hear ‘opera’, but the story and characters keep popping back up in my mind…

Well, I’m on the train back home and my battery is running out…So, I’ll leave you with this wonderful example I’ve been studying.

This sounds like a great idea. It reminded me of Gwenyth Paltrow in Shakespeare in Love, “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?”

The little theater lesbian in me is buzzing with anticipation.
Extra points if you actually record yourself singing opera.

Lol! I am a horrible singer, but I could give it a try. Who knows 😉
