****SPOILER ALERT***** DON’t READ THIS UNTIL AFTER LISTENING****
Some personal comments on this one:
It was a very emotional one for me to write, record and produce. It felt like a moment I’ve been working towards the whole year.
Because of…the writing:
In a way, this is the first finale moment in the story. It’s the moment where Louise proves to herself (and El) that she has truly changed. This is the type of moment that makes or breaks a story, I think.
It was important to me that El and Louise both do the right thing, separate from each other and yet together.
My favorite moment is when you find out what Louise wrote on the bandana, while El speaks out, inspired by Louise’s words.
For me, this is where their love really comes to fruition.
Because of the editing:
I got to really show what I can do in this episode. I’m sure I can find a million things I want to do better by the time I wake up tomorrow, but this truly was the best I could do right now.
In that regard, it was a finale for me too. 3 years of recording and producing experience coming together in this episode. When I heard it all coming together more or less like I had imagined it would, I got all emotional. π
Because of…the ending:
I know. You hate me, right?
PS: count the bandana sentences π There are supposed to be 4…
Yes! What was the fourth sentence Louise scribbled on the bandana? ‘You told me how you felt?’ El said to Louise. But what exactly. I’ve read and listened to both hummingbird and stunned episodes again and again. I couldn’t really figured it out though. Am i missing something?
Thought going through my mind while I was listening to the episode with my eyes closed to minimise distractions: “Damn, Sigrid, I don’t know how you do it but you keep getting better and better with each episode!”
And then I watched the video and read the final comment.
Wow. I am having trouble finding words to express my feelings. Personally this is an incredible treat for me, getting to see how you put together an episode. It’s like watching magic happen! I love it π I can’t thank you enough for sharing the backstage and even your own thoughts on writing with all of us.
And you know what? Cliffhangers are evil, but endings (happy or sad) are not. This is a “proper” episode ending and I, for one, don’t hate you one bit for it ;D Death to cliffhangers, rawr!
Haha, ending seems a cliffhanger to me too π
Thank you for your kinds words about the episode! Means a lot to me.
It’s hard to describe what I am feeling right now! This episode stirred up all kind of emotions! And the ending… OMG! (Everything is going to be ok , right?)
You outdid yourself once again, Sigrid!
Also sharing your thoughts about the episode and the making-of part was a real treat! Thanks! π
Hehe, it did for me too! Thank you, Thea π
Good to know my thoughts and the peeks behind the scenes are something many of you enjoy! I might have to sneak in some more!
Oh my heart
Mine too π
I can’t even… (is my heart still beating?)
Sigrid, thank you for this piece of your writing for this new episode: βYou see, independence is not something you gain overnight. It is not won by a single battle. It is a way of living. It is something we earn by making brave choices every day.β
It has touched me in a way that would be hard to explain.
*standing ovation *
This episode deserves it!
Thanks so much π Writing the speech was a challenge! I wanted it to have value as a stand-alone thing. Luckily, I’ve been working on the story for quite some time now and I know what El wants to share with the world. Doesn’t matter if it’s in 2019 or 2061!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I loved the extra. Still recovering. Masterpiece. Thanks for doing the soundscape video.
Sorry I did that to you π Happy ou enjoyed the extras! I do love sharing about my process.
That was brilliant Sigrid! I was wondering when our missing scientist was going to show up… was it dr yang? ( I will have to go back and listen to the first binge file again)
Haha! I did not expect this comment, to be honest! Good catch π Stay tuned, haha.
βI love youβ right?
Stay tuned π
DSigrid, feeling all kinds of emotions here. π€ You have created a true work of art! Loved the in-depth soundscape! Amazing to see all that goes into one scene let alone an entire episode. Now to go listen again..
Thank you, Romi! Means a lot to me π
OMG! Sigrid this is the best episode Iβve listened so far!! Thank you so much for the dedication and congratulations for the amazing work!! ππΌππΌππΌπΉπΉ
Thank you :):)
This episode was amazing, I was listening with my eyes closed and could imagine everything that happened. Can’t wait to now what happens next.
Thank you! π Excerpt on Wednesday… π
I’m not sure if this is the last episode of the story, if so, awesome. I love the guts it takes to do that, but no complaints if the story goes on.
Haha! I think you would be the only one, or one of the few, who thinks that! 4 more to go π
Brilliant work, Sigrid! Very movie-like. It was so cool to notice the crowd noises and Elβs voice over the microphone /speakers effect and then get your soundscape tour right after highlighting those things I marveled at! The music and singing in the last part was perfectly paired with the scene to evoke just the right emotions.
Wow. I could go on and on… thank you for sharing your craft with us! π
*beams* Thank you, Sara!
SPECTACULAR.
*big grin* Thanks Meg!
I got so many chills listening to this episode- I could feel everything that you put into it. Truly one of my favorites <3
βΊοΈπ Thank you so much!
So emotional! I have actual tears!
Thank you. I consider that a huge compliment. (I was emotional about this one too!)
What was the fourth sentence? Please help me or atleast drop a hint. I’ll die out suspense π
π It’s in part 37.

It’s not spelled out, but implied. Maybe reading the script makes it more clear! (Link above)
Hurray finally π€―! Thankyou soo much.π₯³π₯³π₯³π
I know I’m kind of late to the party but just came across the Soundscape Tour and WOW π€―!! I did think that making these episodes must be a lot of work but I didn’t imagine just how much goes into it. You’re really good at this. And I loved the episode π!
Thanks so much, Kat! π Yeah, things can get complicated during production… π
