    I think it is my favorite episode on this story so far. I kind of got Mary now. Thanks for the episode!

      I’ve been wondering (since reading your comment) what your thoughts are on Mary. Why did you get her now? 🙂

        Well, I guess I saw her as the moral high ground in the story. It seems not even a little white lie would fly with her. And I just couldn’t quite get that. I mean, nobody likes to be lied to, of course, but it seemed like she was maybe taking it too personal? And then when Milly kind of calls her out on it I felt like she might have realized that she was holding Lex to her own standards without taking into account the way she grew up or the motivation behind the lies. And as Milly said Lex was not responsible for the way Mary acted. Why I got her was that whole interaction with Milly. I felt like it gave more of an insight on why she took it all too heart without calling Lex out on it directly. I don’t know if this makes sense, I hope it does.

          It does! 🙂 Thanks so much. I love to hear how the characters speak to you and what you read in the story. It always inspires me and it’s just a joy to hear all the different interpretations! I love how the stories become sort of…. different stories for every listener.

    What a lovely episode! I appreciate how you exposed so many different layers of Mary’s thoughts and reasons. All this while I thought Mary felt a disdain for the so called privilege of the “1%” that Lex had access to. But this might be the first time that she admits that the class difference made her feel insecure. And Milly has grown so much herself! Their conversation was endearing.

    Sorry. I know I’m so late to this, but this where I’m at now in the episode stream. I’m so relieved to hear this episode. Feeling Lex’s trauma from her family last episode hit so hard! And I felt for Mary, sure. Everyone needs to live their truth. But I didn’t feel she was super understanding of Lex and her journey through that trauma. I’m so glad Milly pointed it out to Mary in this ep. Family trauma is REAL. And it’s sooo hard to overcome. I’m so glad that it’s been pointed out in some small way to Mary.
